IAIMSA is the South African Chapter of IAIM® and all CIMI"s® are taught the international infant massage protocol as founded and developed by the founder of IAIM®.  This infant massage protocol remains the exclusive intellectual property (IP) of the IAIM® of which CIMI's® receive a yearly registration licence (to be renewed every year) to use the IP to facilitate there classes.  You may not use IAIM® intellectual property to facilitate infant massage classes unless you are a registered CIMI® with the IAIM®.  

CIMI's ® must teach the core curriculum and respect the philosophy of the IAIM® and not instruct, prescribe or advice outside their scope of expertise.  The board shall have the power to remove any name from its register of members for non-adherence to the code of ethics and practice.

This Website and the content (including the compilation, the organisation and display of the content) within the Website are the exclusive property of IAIMSA and are protected by copyright laws and other international intellectual property provisions.   No person or entity may reproduce or use (or authorize the reproduction or use of) the Trademarks in any manner without the written consent of IAIMSA and IAIM® (International). IAIMSA and IAIM’s® Trademarks may not be used in any manner that discredit or disparage IAIM® or IAIMSA and in connection with any service or product that is not sponsored, endorsed, authorized or produced by IAIM®.   • Members must seek approval from the IAIMSA chapter board if their registration status is to be used in the promotion of commercial products or services
  • All publicity and advertising strategies by members should be in accord with the core curriculum of the IAIM and the IAIMSA Board.
  • The board should be made aware of any articles or publicity issued on behalf of IAIMSA that displays or mentions the IAIMSA details. This is in order that IAIMSA (or IAIM) are able to monitor and respond accurately to any resulting correspondence.
Training: Certified Infant Massage Instructor (CIMI)

To train as an Infant Massage Instructor in South Africa you need to attend specialized training facilitated through our South African trainers: Margo Kilborn or Ronel Coetzee

PLEASE NOTE: Margo Kilborn and Ronel Coetzee are the ONLY qualified and certified trainers in South Africa to teach IAIM® standardised trainings for individuals wanting to become CIMIs®.  

The IAIM offers you an exceptional and comprehensive course with the highest professional standard of training that is in huge demand throughout the world. This course enables you to become a Certified Infant Massage Instructor (CIMI), an internationally recognized qualification. With the training, you will be qualified to teach Infant Massage to parents/carers, to enhance bonding, promote healthy development of the infant and provide support for parents. You will also be able to give lectures and talks to promote Infant Massage and to bring awareness among health professionals and the public about the benefits of infant Massage.

Hours: 8am - 5pm daily

Duration: 4 consecutive days - (practical and theoretical training)

Language: Trainings in Pretoria presented in English, as well as Afrikaans.
